About us

We have a new name!

We’ve evolved from RecycleSmart to ReSmart, a new name that better reflects who we are and where we’re going.

ReSmart is about more than recycling. We unlock smarter ways to keep materials in use and out of landfill, through reusing, repairing, donating, repurposing, or transforming into energy.

Our mission remains the same: helping businesses and communities deal with unwanted items in practical, sustainable, and future-focused ways.

Our vision, mission & impact

Our vision is simple: we want to build a world where nothing is wasted because every unwanted item gets a second life.

We make it easy for businesses, councils and individuals to keep unwanted items in use and out of landfill through our Pickup service, powered by innovative technology and backed by full traceability.

We have already diverted over 1.9 million kilograms of valuable resources from landfill… and counting!

Our Team

ReSmart, formerly RecycleSmart, was born in September 2019 from cofounders Marco Prayer and Giorgio Baracchi.
ReSmart is Australian owned and operated.

Since then, ReSmart has grown to a tight-knit team of 10 people passionate about recycling and a crew of incredible drivers. We are a diverse group with different backgrounds.

Your friendly drivers are contracted locally: they are (even more!) passionate and trained to sort, weigh and assess the breakdown of all the items we collect, and report before delivering them to our partners.

Our partners

Once your items are collected, they are delivered to our recycling partners, whether directly or through our consolidation points.

Our partners are scattered across Australia and specialise in recycling or reusing the diverse items we collect.
