Mattress recycling, picked up from your door
Getting rid of an old mattress shouldn’t mean waiting for a council clean-up. ReSmart picks up mattresses from your doorstep in more than 110 councils across Australia, together with your bedding and the rest of the tricky stuff.
We collect everything, as long as it’s not wet, organic or dangerous.
What we take
Bedding
- Mattresses
- Bed linen
- Pillows
In the same pickup
- Soft plastics
- Clothes and textiles
- E-waste
- Misfit items like batteries and light bulbs
That’s the whole rule, and it’s the same everywhere we pick up: a mattress just needs to be dry.
How it works
Book
Pick a date in the ReSmart app or on the web. Pay per pickup, or use your council's subsidised pickups where they apply.
Choose the volume
When you book, pick the size of your pickup: a mattress is priced by volume, like everything else we collect. Add your bedding and anything else you’re recycling.
Leave it out
Put your items at your door on pickup day. Our driver collects them with anything else you’re recycling, and you can see where it all ends up.
What happens to your mattresses
We work alongside our approved recycling partners to find the best solution for every item: reusing first, then recycling, rather than landfill.
Where we pick up mattresses
Doorstep pickups run in more than 110 councils across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, Hobart, Canberra and regional areas. Check your address on where we collect.
