This page covers the ReSmart Crew app, used by ReSmart's drivers and crew. It adds to our Privacy Policy, which applies to the Crew app too. Both are operated by RecycleSmart Australia Pty Ltd (trading as ReSmart) ABN 88 635 870 049.
LOCATION DATA
ReSmart Crew collects precise location (GPS) data from the driver's device, including in the background, while the driver has an active work session. We use this data to show route progress and estimated arrival times to our operations team, automatically check drivers in and out of warehouse tasks using geofencing, attach collection locations to service-verification photos, and improve route planning. Location collection starts only when a driver begins a work session, is accompanied by a visible notification on the device, and stops when the session ends.
WHO PROCESSES IT
Location data collected by the ReSmart Crew app is processed on our behalf by Google (Firebase, Google Cloud) and by our analytics and error-monitoring providers (PostHog, Sentry), which may store data in the United States and Australia. We do not sell location data.
HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
We retain location data only as long as needed for the operational and record-keeping purposes described above. Drivers may contact us using the details in "Privacy complaints and enquiries" with questions or requests about their data.
